New Plant Life Composted Manure With Organic Matter is excellent for increasing nutrient levels in various types of soil,and great for use in lawns, flower and vegetable gardens, shrubs, trees and evergreens. For new lawns, spread 40 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. and mix into the top four inches of existing soil. For established lawns, broadcast 40 lbs. of this product over 10 square feet of existing lawn. Mix well into existing soil. Water immediately. In flower and vegetable gardens, spread or broadcast 40 lbs. per 100 sq. ft. of area, and blend into the top four inches of soil. If soil is clay, an equal amount of New Plant Life All Purpose Peat would further improve the soil’s condition.

For roses, mix one part manure with three parts existing soil and place four to six inches of mixture in bottom of hole. Cover with layer of New Plant Life All Purpose Peat, set new plants and finish filling hole with mixture of one part New Plant Life All Purpose Peat and one part existing soil. Shrubs, trees and evergreens can benefit by mixing one part manure to three parts New Plant Life Top Soil; just place four to six inches of mixture in the bottom of the hole before setting the plant. Position the tree, shrub or evergreen, then use the same mixture to finish filling the hole to the proper level. Water plants immediately and refill any area that settles.
