New Plant Life All Purpose Peat

The top-quality New Plant Life All-Purpose Peat is excellent for increasing nutrient levels in various types of soil and terrific for use in lawns, flower and vegetable gardens, shrubs, trees, and evergreens.

It’s easy to use as well. For new lawns, mix one to two inches of All-Purpose Peat into the top four to six inches of soil. Rake seed in lightly with a leaf rake and roll the area if possible. Water gently when the soil becomes dry.

To top-dress established lawns, spread All-Purpose Peat 1/2 inch deep on the lawn and work down into the grass.

Flower and vegetable gardens are also a snap. Mix one to two inches of All-Purpose Peat into the top four to six inches of soil. Plant flowers or vegetables and water when the soil is dry.

Roses?  Place a mixture of one part New Plant Life Manure and three parts existing soil in the bottom of the hole. Then, using a mixture of one part All-Purpose Peat with one part existing soil, cover roots and fill to the desired level. On established roses, spread 20 lbs. per 100 sq. ft. of bed area. Mix lightly into the top two inches of soil.

For shrubs, trees, and evergreens, mix one part All-Purpose Peat with two parts existing soil. Position the tree, shrub, or evergreen, then use the same mixture to finish filling the hole to the proper level. Water plants immediately and refill any area that settles.
